Sharing

This Friday we met with some of the Cantonese fellowships from SGVAC to do some Q & A and some sharing. We had a great time and some really productive discussions despite the slight language barrier. To start off we opened up the floor for any questions that they would like to ask us. We didn't expect much from that segment because its hard to get people to speak out in front of a group, but surprisingly we were asked some really good questions. They included questions like: How safe is it in Cambodia? Was it difficult to communicate with the people there? And why Cambodia and not anywhere else in the world? It gave us an opportunity to be introspective and put us on the spot a little bit. Then we turned the tables on them and asked them some questions such as: What do you fear most about going on a mission trip? What defines success or failure for a mission trip? And how do you discern the will of God in your life? I think we chose questions based on the things that we have been learning and what God has been revealing to us lately, in hopes of sharing a little of what we learned with them. Well I hope some of that got through anyway. If nothing else they know us a little better and we know them a little better. Unity in the body of Christ!
